After more than 33 years in commercial real estate with Travers Smith, one of the City of London's leading law firms, Andrew Barrow has become a well-known figure in the UK property industry.
His clients have included government bodies, funds, banks, institutions, investors and developers of every kind and although most have been UK based, many have been from overseas, particularly from America, Europe and the Far East.
The deals that he has been involved with have been many and various and have included the acquisition and disposal of some of the great buildings in the City, major lettings in Canary Wharf and the West End, sorting out the property aspects of major corporate acquisitions, the development of city-centre shopping centres and out-of-town retail and leisure parks and some of the most significant urban regeneration schemes in the UK, particularly in Northern Ireland.
During his time at Travers Smith he set up and ran a very successful real estate finance department, acting for banks and borrowers on a wide variety of investment and development transactions and becoming familiar with all aspects of property funding.
Andrew Barrow Associates was formed in 2009 as a real estate consultancy, utilising Andrew's expertise, experience and extensive network of friends, clients and contacts to advise investors, developers and occupiers of both commercial and residential property in the UK.
